June 18, 2024
Venue:
Online
Description:

Who Should Attend:

Engineering and operations employees who want a better understanding of the work order process.

Webinar Overview:

Materials are a required component of building assemblies and maintaining the distribution system. They flow from the warehouse to the field and become assets/continuing property records of the utility. Having a solid system to track materials is critical for every utility. From ordering, warehousing, using items on the system, to challenges with salvaging materials, come learn the many details about materials.

(Note that the Understanding the Work Order System Series is comprised of eight webinars from March through October 2023. Webinars can be taken individually or as an entire series; by registering for the full series, you will receive all eight webinars at a discounted price.)

Webinar Objectives:

  • Understand the reasons for an organized system to reduce frustration and reduce write-offs.
  • Understand, and put into practice, key inventory concepts and best practices such as material charge-outs, pick lists, return of materials, salvage of materials, and junk materials.
  • Inventory controls.
